Bure Park Juniors is a FA Chartered Standard junior football club in Bicester.
We play the FA’s version of football called Mini Soccer which is a shrunk down version of the full game, with smaller pitches and goals. There is no offside rule and the duration of the game is shortened to a maximum of 30 minutes. We believe that this type of football is excellent for younger players because it means:
More touches of the ball to increase participation and enjoyment.
Fewer players on the pitch meaning simpler decisions and better understanding.
Smaller pitches meaning greater concentration and interest among participants.
The FA focuses on 4 areas at grassroots football -Physical, Social, Mental and Technical skills. Everything we are trying to achieve revolves around this with an emphasis on enjoying ourselves – although it is nice to win, this isn’t the be all and end all!
