Bure Park Juniors

History

Bure Park Juniors began life as a small group of mums and dads meeting up on a Saturday morning for a ‘kick about’ with their young children. With the popularity of this session we soon realised we would need to get a bit more organised and so the club was formed in a official capacity! Now registered with the Football Association and in the Witney and District League we have created a fun and friendly club through which both girls and boys can play football.

Child Welfare

At Bure Park Juniors we take child welfare seriously and this is reflected in our FA Charter Standard Club status. What does that mean? The Charter Standard Programme provides recognition that clubs are well run and sustainable, with child protection and safety paramount. It also recognises a club's commitment to coaching, player and coach development, and the raising of standards of behaviour in the game. The FA, in conjunction with various bodies, has drawn up a set of criteria for clubs wishing to reach Charter Standard, including FA CRB checked volunteers, all managers to have minimum of FA Level 1 Coaching Course, as well as acceptance and promotion of Codes of Conduct.
